Online English, one-to-one, ages 10 to 15

English lessons built for one student. Yours.

Every lesson is a mission written from scratch around what your child loves and what they need next.

  • Exam prep

A ready-made course decides what your child learns. Here, your child decides. A football fan learns grammar through press conferences. A Harry Potter fan learns how the brain works. An exam candidate practises the exact tasks they will face on the day.

How a mission is made

Planned, written and designed for one student, usually in the week it is taught.

A teacher's desk with laptop, microphone and printed lesson worksheets

The free trial is a diagnosis

One relaxed mission places your child between A1 and B1+ and shows how they speak, read and think.

The topic comes from them

Football, animals, Harry Potter, survival stories. Missions are built around what your child actually cares about.

Grammar from their own mistakes

One grammar focus per mission, picked from recent errors, never from a textbook's page order.

A printed reading text with words marked in highlighter

Fresh reading every time

Current articles or texts written for the mission. Your child never sees the same text twice.

Their own visual design

Every student gets a personal colour scheme, so the missions look and feel like theirs.

Adjusted after every mission

Too hard, and the next one is easier. Too easy, and it steps up. Chatty student? Shorter slides, more speaking.

Inside every mission

  1. The hookTalking in the first minute
  2. Key wordsTaught before the reading
  3. The readingWith a quick comprehension challenge
  4. The experimentDebates, role-plays or games
  5. One grammar focusPractised until it sticks
  6. Mission completeA checklist of what they achieved

One student. One problem.
One mission built to fix it.

Real examples from the lab. Students are described, never named.

A football on a white pitch line

Football fan, Poland Level B1

Change One Rule

The problem: kept saying "If I change the rules, it will..." for imaginary situations.

The mission: why football almost never changes its rules, practising "If I could, I would" through an invent-a-rule game.

Emperor penguins standing on Antarctic ice

Animal lover, Israel Level A2

Earth's Extremes

The problem: needed vocabulary and confidence.

The mission: a four-part series on the coldest, darkest, hottest and highest places on Earth.

Microphones on a press conference table

Same student, another week Level B1

The Press Conference

The problem: struggled to form questions. The mission: he plays a journalist grilling a manager after a match.

A single marshmallow on a white plate

Age 10, Paris Strong for his age

How the Mind Works

The problem: needed longer, more precise answers. The mission: the marshmallow test, the invisible gorilla and how habits form.

Age 15, Moscow Level B1+

Nobody Moved

The problem: capable of far more than his short answers showed.

The mission: the bystander effect, with linking language like "which means that" to stretch every answer.

Storyteller, Poland Very talkative

The Interrupting Game

The problem: standard lessons ran too long, and he loves telling stories.

The mission: six slides, a built-in storytelling slot and a game for telling events in the right order.

Meet your teacher

Hi, I'm Teacher Luke.

I have taught English for seven years. The Curated Curriculum started with a simple idea: no two students learn the same way, so no two should get the same lesson. Every mission your child takes is written by me, for them.

A parent and child reading a printed progress report together

Every mission, saved

A private online folder with every lesson your child has done, each with a short summary of what was covered.

Lab Reports

Every 5 to 10 missions, a designed PDF in your child's colours: homework done, their weakest skill, whether it improved and where they are heading next.

Lab Notes between missions

Short tasks keep English alive during the week. They are checked at the start of the next lesson.

Working with your school

Missions can follow your child's school textbook, exam or home reading, so they meet the same words twice a week.

Refer a family and get a free mission when they buy a package.

“On our family trip he ordered for all of us and chatted with the waiter in English. A year ago he would not say a word.”
Agnieszka, mother of a 12-year-old student in Kraków

Good questions.

Lesson times

16:00 to 20:00

Monday to Friday, Johannesburg time (GMT+2), plus a limited Saturday morning slot.

Live online, one-to-one, by video call. The link is sent before each lesson.

Each mission is 30 minutes. Long enough to get through all six parts, short enough to keep a 10-year-old focused.

Give at least 24 hours' notice and the lesson carries over. Nothing is lost.

Packages are priced in US dollars and paid upfront by secure payment link: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal.

You pay the package price. If your bank adds a large fee, the difference is credited against your next block.

Complete beginners (A1) up to upper-intermediate (B1+), aged roughly 10 to 15.
